ELE-MENT-ARY GAMES

I had great Sunday with my two best friends zen and misel. This is not your typical stroll to a club drinking or a march to a dance floor following the beat of the music. I’m not talking about playing the piano while wearing your suit and tie or rehearsal for the ballet performance. This is simply a dinner at Chowking at 7pm and tambay in Cypress near the swimming pool. We retraced our steps back in elementary for favourite games.
I don’t want to elaborate but do you still remember the Tumbang-Preso and the can of sardines LIGO? Hahaha you’re a weakling if you didn’t hit the can with your tsinelas atleast once in the game.
How about the Tropang trumpo? Lack of interest for the girls.
Ang dirty game paway, again I don’t want to elaborate but you have to use your pair of slippers for this game. Hindi ito tatsing pero probably it’s closer to that idea.
The rubber band invasion after class or recess, I know you can remember that. The annoying rubber bands can turn into a long elastic string for Chinese garter, Telebert-telebert and limbo rack. Don’t ignore the Buwan-Buwan, Hugo’t Tali, Kalag dahil it will come in handy when you lose some of the rubber bands.
We should call kalsadahan the patintero since the road with two lane lines are the best place for this game. Nakakainis lang if you’re in the middle of the game and stopped suddenly just to give way to tricycles and jeepneys.
Habulan is the counter part of treadmill in gyms, why? Because you have to run para hindi ka mataya.
Use your stairs for Moon,Sun,Daisy and wear your colourful shirts for Whats the color?
Lungsong-Baka and Luksong-Tinik is accompanied by Kasal-Kasalan.
Of course Zen, Misel and I tried the Domepasomi, Nanay Tatay and their favourite “the meaning of the Chacha cha”. Baliw lang for Sunday.
